I am in Torrance and working.  My first day went pretty well.  Met some other interns, had safety training, got a free lunch, and tried to get my office set up.  Said hi to a lot of people I'd met last year.  My office, by some strange stroke of luck, is super nice.  It's big and has a window and a lot of extra space.

Anyway, that's pretty much all that's worth mentioning.

Posting every month or so whether I need to or not.

I had my first final today.  I think it went okay.  I've got a take-home due tomorrow that's pretty much done and another final Monday that I need to study a lot for.  Still it's a pretty chill finals week for me compared to my usual finals schedules which have been pretty awful up to this point.  I think I just want to be done.

I should update more often.  I'm writing now because I have an exam this afternoon and should be studying.

Problem is, I don't really do anything noteworthy.  Spring Break was fine.  My mom spoiled me thoroughly and I relaxed a lot.  Since then, I've been busy with school and stuff.  I've been trying to get more exercise and now I think I may be getting a suntan.  I preferred the pale thing but am too lazy for sunscreen.  I registered for classes yesterday and may still graduate in four years, which is always good.  18 units and 6 courses, but I squished it all in.  Registration required visits to the dark territories of both Civil and Petroleum Engineering, which was harrowing but I managed somehow.

In closing, I hate D-Clearance.

Also in closing, I love EVK and have more meals left than I thought.  Just wanted to end on a cheerier note.

EDIT: He's back and he's got a new trick.

Not much to report.  I can't wait for Spring Break even though I will just be going home for the week and not doing anything cool.

Housing is taken care of which is really good.  Lydia found an apartment a little bit west of campus and we signed the lease Friday so now Lydia, Ashlyn, Emily (I think that she finally started using the "y"--yay), and I have somewhere to live.  As fun as spending my senior year living in a refrigerator box would have been, I much prefer this arrangement.

School hasn't been too bad this semester either.  I have a paper to edit that I'm dreading since the paper really sucks right now.  I also have a homework assignment due next week only the professor seems to have neglected posting the assignment on Blackboard.  This makes it difficult to complete.  Overall though, this has been a good semester academics-wise.

That's about it.  There's really nothing else worth mentioning.

So mopey recently.  Very mood-swingy semester.  Three weeks ago I was feeling great.

My mom sent me a t-shirt and a candy bar.  The shirt was too small and now I feel fat.  I still ate the candy bar.  Ugh.

I'm not going to write the almost requisite Valentine's Day post about how I feel fulfilled because Jesus and my friends and family love me.  That's nice, but I really can't pull it off right now.  Anyway, I think that post has been getting played out.  I'd rather be bitter and sullen.  Which is probably the reason I don't have a Valentine.
